This week’s theme is a non-bookish freebie. I recently attended the Fan Expo Chicago 2025 convention and had a blast. So, I’ve decided to share my 10 favorite moments from the convention. I didn’t take a ton of pics while I was there. I tend to prefer being in the moment rather than experiencing stuff through a camera lens. This week’s theme is Books with Memorable Animal Companions. This was such a timely topic for me because I just had a wonderful visit to the zoo over the weekend. They even had a red panda, which is my favorite animal. It was SO CUTE!! Obviously, I love real life animals, but fictional ones are awesome, too. Animal companions, especially magic ones, are so much fun to read about. Here are ten books with some of the most memorable animal companions I’ve ever read. This week’s theme is Books with the Word “Dark” in the Title. I chose this word for a couple of reasons. First, it was the only word I searched that had ten books I’d actually read and liked. lol. Second, the mix of books with the word dark in the title was more diverse than I expected. My choices come from such a wide range of genres, including fantasy, middle grade, science fiction, nonfiction, literary, and Star Wars books.
